« Commissioned by Laurence Hazout-Dreyfus as part of an off-site artistic journey during the Biennale de Lyon, my first installation offered all visitors “a piece of daily blue sky in the heart of the night”. Set inside a renaissance courtyard dating back from the 16th Century, the installation gave the impression, at first, that an invisible man had climbed into the sky to cut open a huge 8m x 8m screen suspended 32 meters high above the ground. At night, this square piece of sky turned into – thanks to a projecting system – a fragment of daily blue sky, as it’s deep blue intensity and clouds kept on moving and existing high above the darkened night sky. »
