Exhibited at Design Miami / Basel in June 2009 on the stand of the prestigious London based Carpenter’s Workshop Gallery, this sculptural light-piece comes in a limited edition of 8.
Entitled « Nuage n°1- Offrez-moi votre silence », the installation resembles a static explosion : in a halo of light, 200 concrete cubes suspended to a mirrored ceiling create a feeling of weightlessness. A collector’s piece.
« This cloud-like installation evolves into a suspended moment in time : poised, it seems to hold its breath before vibrating anew. Combining speed of light and inertia, the accumulation of cube resembles a static explosion.
Reflecting its surroundings, the mirror recreates a sense of movement in close contact with spatial weightlessness.
Stabile the suspension grabs the visitor’s attention ; sensitive it escapes any intellectual thought process, capturing light in the heart of a moment of silence. »
